In the field of linguistics, phraseology is a science that studies descriptive words, for example, idioms, phrasal verbs and other types of lexical units, in which the general meaning cannot be known through the meanings of the composition of word combinations, they exist as independent units. This article highlights general characteristics of phraseological units and their classifications.
